Katie McCabe, ACNP-BC

Katie McCabe, ACNP-BC

Primary Care, Medical Aesthetics

Katie McCabe is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC). She’s also a Colorado native, returning to her home state to practice medicine and raise her family after earning her Bachelor of Nursing from Boston College and her Master in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago, with a special focus on Adult and Geriatric patient care.

Katie’s passion for medicine has been lifelong, with some of her favorite work done early in her career at the Surgical ICU at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. It was there that she developed her passion for “cura personalis,” or care of the whole person.

When patients are at their most vulnerable, never more so true than during surgery, it is the provider who sees the body and the soul who makes the greatest impact.

Most recently, Katie spent nine years leading the Advanced Practice Provider Team at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at UCHealth. It was there that she recognized the unique needs of patients here in Colorado. Katie believes wellness begins at home. Her entry to practice in a clinical environment allows her to walk with families as they journey toward fuller, healthier lives.

“During my training, I developed a lasting passion for “cura personalis,” or care of the whole person. The Big Life to see all of you and to listen to your whole story. I know the patients I encounter every day are called to do great things in the world. My job is to restore their health so they can show up."

Leslie Kelty, FNP-BC

Primary Care, Medical Aesthetics

Leslie Kelty is a native Coloradan born and raised in Boulder. She attended Boston College Connell School of Nursing, receiving both her Bachelor and Master of Nursing there, with a specialty in Family Health.

Board Certified to care for patients for over 13 years, Leslie’s work experience includes both urgent and primary care settings. It’s made her especially equipped to understand the stress patient’s feel when health becomes acute, and the incredible opportunity to prevent many of those same crises through properly managed primary care.

Leslie joins Big Life with a hope to not only maximize patients’ wellness, but to practice in an environment where the patient-provider relationship is still central to the medical mission. Robust testing, advanced technologies, ongoing learning, and readily available, comprehensive exams lead to personalized wellness plans for each individual.

Leslie also brings experience in medical aesthetics to Big Life. An early practitioner with Katie McCabe at The Skin Clique, Leslie understands patients want to look their best and trust they’re receiving safe, effective treatments.

"I went into medicine to make sure my work mattered, and that I could go home every day feeling good about the difference I make. Maybe like some of you, I discovered that most modern healthcare is a broken system, reducing “medicine” to pills for ills and moving people on their way. Big Life is different. I have the time to really listen to my patients and to journey with them toward wellness. It’s such an incredible discovery."
